FAQ Automatic parts

From MusiCAD
When I change a chord, nothing happens in the automatic accompaniment parts. Why not?
There could be several reasons for this.
  1. only chord symbols in the main part are responsible for accompaniment parts;
  2. if you edit an automatic part, it is no longer 'automatic' and chord changes will no longer have any effect;
  3. only chord symbols that are entered as such have an effect. Text that looks like a chord symbol but is not of the text type 'chord' has no effect on the accompaniment parts.
I changed an automatic bass part, but now I want the automatic part back. How?
In the part overview score, remove the adjusted bass part. Then, with menu Arrange, check 'Auto bass line' again.
How can I quickly make all automatic parts visible?
with the button viewall you can make these visible and invisible again. Of course you can also make all desired parts visible or invisible in the part overview...
What is the difference between the 'normal' accompaniment parts and the accompaniment arrangements from version 4.3?
automatic bass and chord parts are 'baked in' in MusiCAD, straightforward parts that are actually mainly intended to be able to hear whether the chords are correct. With accompaniment arrangements you can create more complicated parts based on existing or self-made patterns that change when the chords are changed.
