Common meter is an abbreviation of a 4-beat meter and is denoted with a large common_meter1.jpg

MusiCAD will show a common meter symbol for any meter notation that is prepended with a 0 (04/4)

Divided common meter is written as common_meter2.jpgand may be entered using two zeroes before the meter: 002/4

MusiCAD will show divided common meter for any meter notation that is prepended with two zeroes 004/4. In automated accompaniment parts divided common meter will cause a double pulse in each bar.
